BIO-RESEARCH- Journal of Biological Research & Biotechnology- CALL FOR PAPERS FOR VOLUME 18

The Journal of Biological Research and Biotechnology (Bio-Research, ISSN: 1596-7409 and eISSN: 9876-5432) is an open access, online, multidisciplinary biological and biotechnology journal published by the Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Journal Focus The Journal publishes scientific reports on biological and biotechnology subjects in the form of original articles, brief reports and case reports. We also accept review articles, special communications and editorials. The journal will cover technical and biological studies related to biology and biotechnology including ethical and social issues. Articles with biological interest and implications will be given preference. The submission MUST be original, has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration Author Submission Guidelines Manuscripts should be type-written with double spacing, should not exceed 6 printed pages, including figures and tables. This should contain an Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion. Results and discussion may be combined in one section. Genus and species names should be in italics. Authors should include a The Title Page: Should contain full title of the article; full names and address of all author(s) (including name of the institution, city, country and email address); any footnotes referring to the title (indicated by astericks); the page heading (running title) with no more than 55 letters, including spaces; and the email address to which proofs should be sent. Abstract: Authors should provide a separate abstract of not more than 200 words and a list of 5-7 key words for referencing purposes. References: The list of references should be alphabetical in order and should include the full title of the cited article. References should be given in the text by author and year (e.g. Nweze et al., 2019; Eze and Obi, 1985; Okoye and Uzo, 2018a; 2018b). Illustrations: Previously published illustrations or illustrations in colours are usually not accepted. Numerical data given in graphs or tables must not be duplicated. As a rule, request for colour reproductions cannot be approved unless the author bears the cost. All figures are to be numbered consecutively throughout and submitted separately. Visit website for more. Submission Process The manuscripts should be submitted online in Microsoft word doc or docx formats only. The texts in manuscript should be double spacing (leaving a 5-cm wide margin on only one side of A4 paper) and should not exceed 6 printed pages (including figures and tables). Authors should indicate in the manuscripts where they desire the figures and tables to be inserted. Papers are to be written in English only. The text should adhere to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines. Peer Review Process All submissions are subject to peer review by the Editorial Board and by referees in appropriate specialties. We will consider for publication manuscripts from any part of the world, but most particularly manuscripts that would be of interest to readers in the third world and Africa in particular. As part of the submission process, a list of at least three suggested reviewers with their official addresses and email contacts MUST be included in the forwarding letter to the Editor-in-Chief. Article Publication Charge Upon acceptance of an article, the author(s) are required to pay an article publication charge of fifteen thousand Naira (N15,000.00) only to the publisher's account. Contributors outside Nigeria are requested to pay $100 (US dollars) in certified bank draft made in favour of the publisher.
